Monsters don't just lurk in the dark or hide under the bed. Sometimes, they are disguised as grotesque forms, waitlists, emails and phone calls when you're desperately looking for child therapy.

Being told that your daughter has special needs is scary. Navigating the dizzying maze of timely and trusted therapy is no less terrifying. This is the story of our family and the origin of Therapprove—bred by pain but built on purpose. It has a simple mission: to conquer the monster of delivering therapy services for children in a safe and streamlined process.

We wanted to make what feels like a heavy moment a little lighter—and a lot more human. Instead of endless paperwork and lost hope, we imagined a connected system where one referral could open many doors.

And guess what? We discovered that behind that door is a peculiarly pleasant monster with pigtails, our mascot Nelly. She is inspired by our dear Avanelle and represents the Therapprove way: turning something intimidating into something approachable, creative, and even a little fun.

Our hope is simple: That families feel less overwhelmed. That providers spend less time on admin and more time on care. And that together, we can help more children get the care they need—and thrive.
